About

Lilian Frohn (born 1969, Netherlands) is a contemporary artist and grew up in the south of Limburg where she developed, already at a very young age, her interest and passion for art.

After high school, she went on to study art at the art academy in Belgium. As an independent artist, she not only creates fascinating works of art, but also shares her knowledge with others by giving various workshops.

Her artistic expressions know no boundaries, besides paintings she creates sculptures from stone or bronze, makes digital art and prints and also works with leather, creating exclusive leather hats. She demonstrates her versatility in the process. For her, creativity is more than just a skill – it is an intrinsic need to connect with her heart and soul, allowing her inner voice to be expressed in her remarkable art. Her work is solid and visually strong with powerful and bright colors that challenge the viewer to think about what one sees. She works convincingly and firmly, daring to depict powerful and strong lines in her painting. This gives her a characteristic and distinctive style.

In addition to thorough research of her subjects, she also loves to work freely and intuitively. Anything can be an inspiration, listening to her inner voice. In her paintings you often see a beautiful layering of paint layers. Often you can even “see through” them. Her artworks are transparent and inventive. She creates a special tension in her works, which makes her work unique and almost even mysterious.

Over the years, Lilian Frohn has participated in several exhibitions, showcasing her exceptional talent and creativity. In 2016, she was honored with the prestigious award for the best painting of the year by the Municipal Council of Maasmechelen in Belgium. Her captivating works graced numerous venues, including exhibitions in Leut, Cultural Center Maasmechelen and the castle of Alden Biesen in Bilzen, Belgium. In 2017, she won the 1st prize for painting, the Stan Raemdonck Prize, awarded by LovArte in cooperation with the municipal government of Lovendegem/Vlinderhoute in Belgium.

Today, her works can be seen in various galleries, both online and physically.

Lilian Frohn also works on commission for individuals and companies.
